If you have been keeping track of Pretty Wild, the reality series being shown on E! TV and running into its second season now, you know how controversial (read popular) it has become because of all the scandals that have been surrounding its young and beautiful stars. The series revolves around three teenage sisters Tess, Alexis, and Gabby, along with their mother Andrea, who was a model for a lingerie brand in the eighties. Tess is the adopted daughter of Andrea while Alexis and Gabby are the real sisters. Of the three sisters, all of whom are desirous of an entry in Hollywood, Tess is working as a playboy cyber model while Alexis Neiers and Gabby Neiers are desperate socialites.

While the show was going on smoothly with no sparks and nothing really special to catch the attention of the audiences, the twist came when there was news of Alexis Neiers being charged with burglary attempt into celebrity homes. While it is not confirmed if the producers of the show knew about these charges coming or the involvement of Alexis in an organized crime being touted as Bling Ring, one thing is certain and it is the fact of the TRP of the reality TV series going high up. The show has become extremely popular ever since with audience suddenly evincing interest in the lives of the three sisters and their turbulent tryst with the law. Meanwhile, Alexis, who was supposedly a minor player in the Bling ring that burglarized homes of Hollywood celebrities and somehow stole millions of dollars worth valuables, has got a short sentence of 6 months in prison for her involvement in these burglaries.

The sentence is kept as suspended for two years and Alexis has been placed on probation for three years. Bloom was only one of the several Hollywood celebrities whose properties were burglarized by the Bling Ring. Others who were troubled by this gang included Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, and Audrina Patridge. She has been asked by the police to pay restitution to Orlando Bloom whose home was targeted by Alexis along with her friends. It is really surprising that the group managed to steal millions of dollars worth valuables without getting caught.

The way audiences have reacted to this sudden development shows how emotionally involved they have become with the reality series Pretty Wild. While there are some who say that it is all a publicity gimmick and an attempt to increase the popularity of the TV series, there are others who are aghast at the sudden development saying this was a result of the difficult times the family was facing. Some find fault with mother Andrea’s ways of raising her daughters while yet others asking the family to be left alone as they are victims of public glare.

But one thing that surprises many is that Alexis, who, with her good looks and money, should have been preparing for college is embroiled in such a pathetic controversy much like the one in which LiLo finds herself in (the celebrity whose home was burglarized by the Bling ring).
